Because the census dates are not exactly 10 years apart there is often confusion regarding the age reported on the census forms. This is especially true when the person you are working on has a birthday very near to the census dates. To try and help with these problems we have created two on line calculators which will determine the correct entries for a specific census given either the subjects Date of Birth or their Reported age from another census. As with all census records please remember that the ages we provide need not be exactly the same as the actual dates recorded. It is always possible that the enumerator made a mistake or that the subject gave inaccurate information!
